Does Oral Appliance Therapy really work?

Dr. Fritzsche literally turned my life around after I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I knew I would never, ever tolerate a CPAP device and wondered how my untreated sleep apnea would affect my life. Dr. Fritzsche and his excellent staff introduced me to an alternative device that has allowed me to have restful sleep without obnoxious snoring.

It’s difficult to put in words how much of a life change I have experienced since I discovered The Center for Sleep & TMJ Disorders!

Having been diagnosed with a severe case of sleep apnea, I was at a crossroads in my life regarding care and treatment of such a debilitating disorder. Typical medical treatment and therapy were nearly impossible for me to adapt to. Sleeping with a mask that looked and fit like my dad’s when he was in a B24 in WWII, and getting a blast of air up my nose every time I tried to breathe, just was not working for me. The morning I decided to return my loathed CPAP machine, I saw an ad in the newspaper for The Center for Sleep & TMJ Disorders and made the phone call that most likely saved my life.

Since speaking with your office several months ago, my quality of life has improved beyond what I could have ever imagined. The oral appliance is so comfortable that I don’t even know I’m wearing it, affording me a way to deal with this problem in a dignified and much more pleasant manner. Furthermore, I didn’t realize the significance of these changes until the day that my appliance needed some repairs and I was without it for a few days! Only then did I fully appreciate the difference it made. I was miserable without it!

In closing, I want to express my deepest appreciation and respect for the entire staff at The Center for Sleep & TMJ Disorders. They are all the most professional, caring, considerate, knowledgeable, friendly, and kind bunch of people I have had the good fortune to meet. I was tested for sleep apnea and diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. I was given a CPAP mask and from then on, my life was a living hell! I went through many different types of masks as well as headgears; nothing seemed to work for me. Every time I tried using my CPAP, it made me feel claustrophobic, and when I woke-up it was never on me………

The big challenge was telling my wife about the appliance and the cost of the therapy. The first thing she said to me was that “it cost too much” and asked “how do you know it would work”?! I told her at this point in my life I was willing to try the therapy, because I could no longer use the CPAP anymore. I told her I was tired of feeling sleepy, irritable and having trouble remembering.

Now my wife and I are very happy and satisfied with the help of Dr. Fritzsche and his staff. No more CPAP, and no more snoring and we both get a good night’s sleep. Thank you Dr. Calvin A. Fritzsche.

Does TMJ Therapy really work?

After 2 ½ years of chronic facial pain, dizziness, and pain that radiated to my neck, shoulder, and back I was desperate for help. The medical community had failed me……….. After only 2 weeks of TMJ treatment I saw a difference in the way I was feeling. I am now pain free and do not suffer with dizziness and sleep problems. I highly recommend Dr. Fritzsche and his entire staff. You deserve the best and that is what you will get.

I have spent many years in and out of dentist chairs looking for an answer to my constant problem with my teeth…… increasing wear on my front teeth, problems with my bite……….
