Asheville woman suffers a stroke after ignoring sleep apnea symptoms

Family members of a majority of my patients expressed their concerns about their loved ones snoring, holding their breath and gasping for air.  If patients could only hear the noises they make when trying to sleep, they would be scared as well. Too bad it took a stroke for this woman to start listening to her loved ones and see a sleep medicine specialist!
